WHCC or White House Custom Colour is a professional print lab located in Eagan, Minnesota. It was founded in the 1970s by Webb White, and the company has grown considerably from there. WHCC serves professional photographers in the United States, Canada, and across the world.

Why SRV Uses WHCC

Snake River Valley Photography chose WHCC because of the quality of their photos and the outstanding customer service they provide. As photographers we want to provide quality products and we feel that WHCC meets our expectations.

Besides providing normal prints, they offer fine art pieces and other specialty items. We just ordered our first 20×30 inch print on white styrene board and we are pleased with the results. The client went with the deep matte and the colors are spot on.

Prints

Their Photographic Prints have a longevity of 100 years in typical display conditions and 200 years in dark storage. They print the Lustre, Glossy, and Metallic photographic prints on Kodak Endura Professional Papers.

They also use Fuji Crystal Archive Professional Paper for their Deep Matte photographic prints; and a variety of optional mounting substrates are available, as well as coating and textures.

These are budget friendly, yet provide a quality product.

Fine Art Prints

WHCC offers three fine art papers that have a matte finish: Torchon by Hahnemühle, Velvet, and Smooth Matte. The fine art pieces meet archival standards, are acid free, pH neutral, and made from pure cellulose. Fine Art Prints can be ordered as loose prints or mounted on Matboard, Styrene, Foamboard, Masonite, Standout, or a Bamboo Panel.

You will pay more money for fine art prints, but the quality is superior since the thickness and surface texture of these fine art papers provide both substance and beauty.

Canvas Prints

WHCC offers traditional or fine art canvas prints. For traditional canvas, they print the photo and then apply it to the canvas. While the fine art canvas is printed directly onto the canvas.

There are seven mounting options to fit your style: matboard, styrene, masonite, foamboard, standout, canvas stretcher, and a bamboo panel. Canvas prints are a great way to take your photograph to another level.

How WHCC Works with our Website

We currently offer two ways of ordering for our clients. Either the photos are placed on an online gallery that you order directly from; we choose what can be ordered through this gallery and we don’t list every specialty item.

Or we can work one on one and customize a print for you while incorporating one of the many techniques offered by WHCC. With so many varieties and styles, it is impossible to list everything on our site, which is why we recommend working with us to bring your vision to life.

Ordering prints from a professional print lab are going to cost more money up front, but you are receiving a higher quality item that will last longer. Professional photos aren’t for everyone and you won’t need to order professional photos for every situation and event in your life.

But for those times when you want to showcase a special photograph that can be cherished for a lifetime, professional quality photographs are worth the extra effort.
